Medical representative – Diabetes - Alfa Health Care


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the products of [list products of Company]
  • Ensure appointments with doctors, pharmacists and hospital medical teams, which may include pre-arranged appointments or regular ‘cold’ calling, are arranged in a professional manner
  • Increase sales and market share of [Company] Products through effective territory management and sales execution
  • Follow up with various pharmaceutical sales channels
  • Ensure the timely and efficient development and implementation of plans that include goals, action plans, time frames and resources
  • Establish strong relationships with a broad base of health care constituents (physicians, private hospitals, pharmacies, teaching hospitals, targeted community hospitals, and community offices) through one-on-one sales presentations, group discussions and medical meeting exhibits
  • Develop and implement creative strategies in key accounts
  • Make presentations to doctors, practice staff and nurses in GP surgeries, hospital doctors and pharmacists in the retail sector. Presentations may take place in medical settings during the day or may be conducted in the evenings at a local hotel or conference venue
  • Organize conferences for doctors and other medical staff
  • Ensure that a daily a sound reporting system is maintained so that optimum communication of all information concerning physicians, hospitals and pharmacies to the Medical Field Sales Manager
  • Manage allocated resources (samples, promotional and educational materials) to maximize return within regulatory and ethical guidelines
  • Monitor competitor activity and competitors’ products
  • Oversee calls on retail pharmacies and other special customers
  • Maintain detailed records of all contacts, which involves database management
  • Regularly attend company meetings, technical data presentations, and briefings
  • Meet annual sales targets
  • Plan daily, weekly, and monthly work schedules in coordination with the Sales Manager
  • Stay up to date on the latest clinical data supplied by [Company] and present, and discuss the data with healthcare professionals during presentations.
  • Liaise with the Sales Manager to plan and organize events, prepares promotions, sales, and special collections for [Company], as well as liaces the Marketing department of [Company] to facilitate sales of the brand.
  • – Meet on a regular basis with the Sales Manager
    – Present reports to the Sales Manager on market visits, and issues requiring corrective actions
    – Contribute to all research needed to ensure proper consumer understanding
    – Other duties as assigned by the Sales Manager
Work Experience:

– 1 to 3 years of experience in a related field.

Education and Training:

  • A Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university in a relevant field.
  • Fluently speak, read and write English and Arabic
  • Able to use Microsoft Office, Microsoft Outlook, and the internet
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to maintain a good working relationship with clients.
  • Ability to multi-task and operate effectively in stressful situations.
