Community Based Case Worker / Tripoli - Cesvi


Job Description

Safeguarding Policies:

Cesvi has zero tolerance approach to any form of abuse and sexual exploitation as well as bullying
and a range of non-sexual abuse of power perpetrated by Cesvi employee and related personnel
against any individual (children and adults) regardless of age, gender, sexual orientation, disability,
religion, or ethnic origin.
Cesvi takes all the complaints and concerns about violence against children and SEA seriously and
it initiates rigorous investigation of complaints indicating a possible violation of safeguarding
policies as well as of Cesvi Code of Conduct and of Cesvi Ethical Code.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to Children Safeguarding Policy, PSEA Policy, code of conduct, and report concerns.
  • Raise awareness of the affected communities about the safeguarding system and how to report concerns
  • Report to CBP supervisor, CBP team work plan and updates
  • Supervise and monitor the implementation of Case Management and assessment for hosting families;
  • Being the focal point for Community-based care solutions external and internal referrals;
  • Prepare and participate to Panels for Cash Assistance to Caregivers hosting vulnerable PoCs;
  • Ensure the care givers and people of concerns data and files set are up to date and approved by the relevant personnel timely
  • Work on facilitating the conduction of awareness sessions of the different units in close collaboration with the Community mobilizers team
  • In charge on evaluating the efficiency of the community mobilizers (CM) work and report needs for changes or replacement of CM
  • Conduct regular field / home visits and act as back up for other CBP team members when relevant or requested
  • Manage and carry out collection, analysis and interpretation of field data and prepare reports;
  • Represent CESVI in a professional manner in meetings and ensure good cooperation with local partners and other relevant actors;
  • Any other duties relating to nature of the job as may be requested by the Supervisor for the best development of Cesvi activities.

Job Requirements

  • university degree or Diploma in relevant studies (social sciences, social work, education) is preferred.
  • A previous humanitarian experience with a CSO, NGO or INGO is preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills with adults and children.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational and time management skills.
  • Proven computer literacy skills
  • Ability to work under difficult working conditions
  • Ability to successfully and professionally work with a broad spectrum of people.
    Language skills:
    Advanced English and Arabic; oral and written.
