GBV Case Worker /Misurata - Cesvi

Job Description

Specific tasks and responsibilities:

• Conducting appropriate Case Management for vulnerable women, men, girls and boys at risk/ GBV survivors, according to standard procedures;

• Contributing to the daily implementation of GBV case management, life skills and awareness activities;

• Carrying out collection of field data and supporting the Case Management Team Leader and the Child Protection/GBV Specialist in the analysis of data;
• Proactively contribute to quality and timely drafting of reports on the progress of GBV activities;
• Supporting other departments during activities planning and implementation (i.e. life-skills activities, awareness sessions);
• Observing and respecting GBV Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs);
• Respecting Cesvi’s Standard Operating Procedures and Code of Conduct for Confidentiality and the Prevention of Sexual Harassment;
• Participating in team meetings and trainings;
• Representing Cesvi in a professional manner in meetings and ensure effective cooperation with local partners and other relevant actors;
• Hand over his/her tasks with a proper and accurate handover report at the end of the contract;
• Fulfil any other additional task requested by the Case Management Team Leader and the Child Protection/GBV Specialist.

Job Requirements

Minimum requirements

University degree in Psychology, social work, social administration, social sciences, development studies, or a relevant field.

At least 1-year experience with a Non‐Governmental organization.

Experience in handling cases is an asset.

Trainings in child protection and/or GBV minimum standards and gender mainstreaming are an asset.

Previous experience of work with migrant and refugee communities is an asset.

Good understanding of Protection Principles and Case Management standards.

Good command of written and spoken English.

Good communication skills and ability to conduct training and awareness campaigns.

Good organizational and management skills.

Good computer skills especially Microsoft package.

Ability to work with minimum supervision.
