JOB PURPOSE: A brief but complete statement describing why the position exists

To supervise business with foreign/overseas suppliers & all activities related to order processing, Shipping, clearance, purchasing, sourcing and all Logistics activities which manages & coordinates between different parties to satisfy the organization needs from products & services

Procurement and logistic Executive 

MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES: Responsibilities for the position 

  • Logistics
  • Dealing with shipping lines to get the best shipping rates & services  
  • Arranging shipments with the suppliers & shipping lines/ Freight Forwarders
  • Tracking the Shipments with the suppliers, Shipping lines & clearing sections until arrival
  • Handling & Controlling the Free Zone receipt & sales & arranging the priorities for the initial & final clearing.
  • Optimize warehouse utilization through effective planning and shipment execution.
  • Procurement
  • Placing orders to the suppliers & follow up the order processing
  • Controlling procurement process, cost & lead time for both local & overseas & trying to solve any problems may face the supplying, Shipping & clearing process
  • Creating & updating the basic data (Info Records, price lists, selling prices etc….) at the Co. operating system 
  • Supervising 
  • Monitoring supplier performance, through a supplier evaluation key performance indicators (KPI)
  • Supporting Sales team to achieve organization goals.
  • Supervising & coaching the procurement team
  • Reporting
  • Keeping record of all incoming consignments and create Acknowledgments & invoices to be updated into SAP system
  • Preparing Purchasing, costing, inventory and sales reports to the top management & other sides (inside & outside the organization.)

Job specific Skills:

  • Able to provide creative ways to avoid problems in Supplying, Shipping & Clearance.
  • Excellent communication skills & Able to communicate with a wide variety of nationalities.
  • Hard worker & ready to work under pressure.   
  • Good Knowledge of Shipping terms & Payment terms.
  • Excellent computer skills “especially Outlook & Excel”.
  • Excellent English & Arabic communication skills.
  • Excellent negotiation and presentation skills.
  • Team player.
  • Dependable, well organized & smart.
