Emergency Telecommunications Sector Coordinator(ETS) Organization WFP Posted 29 Apr 2021 Closing date 30 Apr 2021 The World Food Programme (WFP) is the leading humanitarian organization saving lives and changing lives, delivering food assistance in emergencies and working with communities to improve nutrition and build resilience. In its capacity of global lead agency of the Emergency Telecommunications Cluster (ETC), WFP Libya Country Office was requested to lead the Emergency Telecommunications Sector (ETS) in Libya in 2018 to provide vital communications and technology services, coordinate the ICT response in collaboration with local actors and support sector initiatives to increase accountability towards affected communities. Since then, the ETS provided shared Internet and security communications services in common operational hubs and in 2020, launched a common feedback mechanism platform in the form of an inter-agency call centre, also used as the national COVID-19 information channel.
