Procurement Job Summary
We are seeking an organized and qualified Procurement Manger Ensuring all the procurement processes and systems are followed all the time, developing and monitoring purchase/works procedures.
This is a full-time position from Saturday to Thursday, 09:00 am to 05:00 pm,
The post is based in Tripoli, Libya.
Procurement Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Implement and maintain standard procurement policies and procedures and ensure that the procurement is carried out in compliance with policies and regulations.
- Conduct pre-award evaluations for purchase and agreements, and prepare the necessary supporting documentation.
- Ensure that a transparent and responsive procurement process is implemented and maintained, generating bids analysis, purchase orders and payment requests.
- Establish and maintain ethical and professional working relationship with suppliers.
- Maintain supplier information for regularly purchased items; monitor current local market conditions and local supply sources to optimize supply.
- Receive goods or services from suppliers and ensure that they match the required quality and are delivered to the correct location safely and within the agreed time frame for services and field goods.
- Plan and manage the stock supplies.
- Prepare, manage and track purchase orders,
- Inform CEO of procurement-specific issues, problems and suggest improvements;
- Provide regular inventory assessment for the different items stored within the projects;
- Maintain paper and electronic backup documentation for all procurement actions;
- Prepare solicitations for goods and services as needed by the project;
- Ensure regular communication with the Logistic Officer and Local Administrator;
- Prepare reports as required;
- Perform other duties as requested by the CEO.
Experience and technical competencies:
- Minimum 2 years of working experience.
- Proficient in skills (MS-Excel, MS-Word, Outlook, etc.).
- Able to work with tight deadlines and under minimum supervision.
- Excellent communication skills and detail-oriented.
Education:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Financial Management.
Languages:
- English and Arabic required.
