Report to Contractor – ELECTRICAL / INSTRUMENTATION TEAM LEADER

TYPE

National / Expat Position Off Shore Rotation 4 weeks on by 4 weeks off, 7 working days per week (12h working by day)

PURPOSE

ï Is responsible for all Electrical and DCS interventions 

ï Is responsible for integrity and follow-up of software and hardware for ICSS and interfaces with PLC’s on board

 ï He ensures that maintenance operations under his responsibility are carried out in strict accordance with COMPANY’s current safety rules and operating procedures and in accordance with standard industry practice, thereby guaranteeing the quality of maintenance operations, within his field, carried out on site by CONTRACTOR.

ACTIVITIES

Operations 

ï Assists the planning team by giving any technical support for the preparation of the jobs in his discipline. 

ï Assists specialists working under Specific Maintenance Contracts (SMC),

 ï Ensures that COMPANY’s HSE regulations are respected (especially procedures related to Work Permits), as well as approved operating procedures and standard industry practice during performance of maintenance operations placed under his responsibility, 

ï Enters intervention reports in the CMMS (including those concerning SMC) and writes the technical reports related to his field,

 ï Monitors the functioning of utilities and equipment systems which are under his responsibility, 

ï Performs the diagnostics and trouble shooting in the ICSS and PLC, 

ï Follows-up the parameter values and alarms in the concerned systems, for condition monitoring purpose.

Methods

 ï Proposes any relevant action to improve performance and availability of control system.

 ï Warns support teams of any recurring problems related to the availability or quality of spare parts, 

ï Guaranties that software produced for modification or corrective actions are in conformity with functional analysis, 

ï Guaranties that control system documentation is up to date.

 Main Functions 

ï Prepare detailed operations to be realized on electrical and DCS installation according to the maintenance planning

 ï Assist the Mechanical Team in starting/stopping rotating equipment

 ï Intervene rapidly on electrical and DCS defects in order to avoid production shutdown.

 ï Prepare electrical and DCS installations for maintenance works. 

ï Ensure proper follow-up of electrical and DCS equipment by regular visit and readings interpretation. 

ï Issue intervention reports. 

ï Transmit requests for ordering electrical and DCS consumables and spare parts to the ELECTRICAL / INSTRUMENTATION TEAM LEADER 

ï Is in charge of monitoring low and high voltage distribution 

ï Is in charge of maintaining: LV/HV electrical control panels, HVAC, all electrical motors and apparatuses, electrical network, alarms and detection installations, cabling and lighting.

Qualification

ï Chartered Engineer or Higher National Diploma or Certificate or equivalent. 

ï 5 years’ experience in the field of control system and at least 3 years as control system specialist in petrochemical industry

 ï A knowledge of the principles related to the process and equipment of oil and gas treatment installations

 ï Specific knowledge: Foxboro DCS maintenance / Triconex and Yokogawa control systems 

ï Working language: English
