GBV Case Worker
Cesvi has been one of the first INGOs intervening in Libya, as soon as the Arab Spring begun in
2011 and is carrying out a Humanitarian Protection Program in Tripoli and Misrata within different
settings, included Gender-based Violence program since 2016.
The project “Protection and Life Saving Assistance to refugees and asylum seekers in Libya”,
funded by UNHCR intends to promote a favorable Protection environment for refugees and asylum
seekers in Tripoli. Project activities are provided within the Community Development Center.
Specific tasks and responsibilities:
- Conducting appropriate Case Management for vulnerable women, men, girls and boys at
risk/ Survivor of GBV, according to standard of procedures;
- Respecting Cesvi’s Standard Operating Procedures and Code of Conduct as well as policies
for Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse;
- Participating in team meetings and trainings;
- Observing and respecting GBV Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs);
- Contributing to the daily quality implementation GBV case management, life skills and
awareness activities;
- Carrying out collection of field data and supporting the CP/GBV Supervisor and CP/GBV
Specialist in Data analysis;
- Proactively contribute to quality and timely drafting of reports on the progress of GBV
activities;
- Supporting other departments during activities planning and implementation (i.e. life-skills
activities, awareness sessions at the Social Center);
- Representing Cesvi in a professional manner in meetings and ensure effective cooperation
with local partners and other relevant actors;
- Hand over his/her tasks with a proper and accurate handover report at the end of contract;
- Fulfil any other additional task requested by the GBV Supervisor and CP/GBV Manager.
Duty station: Tripoli
Responsible to: S/he will report directly to the CDC Manager and functionally GBV Supervisor.

Job Requirements
- University degree in psychology, social work, social administration, social sciences, development
studies, or a relevant field is an asset.
- At least 1 year experience with UN or Non‐Governmental organizations
Experience in handling cases is an asset.
- Trainings in child protection and/or GBV minimum standards and gender mainstreaming are an
asset.
- Previous experience of work with migrant and refugee communities is an asset.
- Good understanding of Protection Principles and Case Management standards
- Good command of written and spoken English.
- Good communication skills and ability to conduct training and awareness campaigns
- Good computer skills especially Microsoft packages.
- Good organizational and management skills.
- Ability to work with minimum supervision
