Background 1. Role and responsibilities Specific responsibilities Accounting for the particularities of the job location and context, the Technical Assistant will be responsible for: – -Stays updated regarding internal procedures and thematic guidelines – Delivers group information sessions (GIS) and individual counselling on various topics including legal and civil documentation, housing, land and property rights and work rights. – Ensures protection mainstreaming in field activities, including identification of cases for protection referrals – Undertakes day to day data collection and data entry related to field activities and participates in field mapping exercises – Meetings with international, national and governmental actors working on legal and education access issues for refugees and migrants; – Oversight of referrals to local aid organizations; – Ensuring that partner organisations fully comply with agreed case management and client handling procedures; – Perform other tasks related to the position, as required. • University degree/diploma in social sciences, political sciences, law or other related fields
• Basic knowledge about data management and computer skills
• Experience in working in a humanitarian/recovery context;
• Native fluency in Arabic;
• Work proficiency and excellent drafting skills in English. Context related skills, knowledge and experience:
• Knowledge of the displacement context in Libya;
• Knowledge of the migrants and refugee protection issues is considered a strong advantage;
• Knowledge of Libyan law and regulation is an added advantage
