Job Summary

A hydraulic technician installs, maintains and repairs hydraulic components on equipment. In order to complete their work, they are expected to read blueprints and diagrams while troubleshooting and diagnosing problems. Additionally, hydraulics technicians read dials and meters to determine amperage, voltage, electrical output and input at specific operating temperature to analyze parts performance

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Install, maintain and repair hydraulic systems
• Read blueprints while diagnosing problems
• Perform preventative maintenance of hydraulic systems
• Perform welding, metal fabrication and electrical assembly
• Provide drawing review and suggestions related to part inspection and testing
• Use computers to investigate and repair hydraulic equipment
• Reassemble machines and equipment
• Read dials and meters to analyze parts performance
• Operate machines to modify parts tested or to fabricate experimental parts for testing

Job Specification

Vocational Training: A high school diploma or more preferably an associate degree in industrial equipment technologies, mechanics, precision systems service, HVAC maintenance or electronics is required

Vocational Career: Approximately 10 years experience in a relevant field.

• Knowledge of cement industry best practices and safety procedures
• Attention to accuracy / Precision
• Ability to propose innovative solutions
• Reading plans, digrams & sketshs
• Current and valid certification a plus
• Experience working on construction sites and with power tools
