Job Summary

Welders fabricate and assemble metal structures and equipment through the use of welders, cutters, shapers and measuring tools. Welders produce metal products according to customer or employer specifications. They use multiple welding machines to repair and maintain metal equipment and structures of various sizes. Welders read and interpret diagrams, sketches and blueprints to determine operations, required materials and timeframes for projects.

Welders set up, operate and maintain welding equipment. They understand and implement personal and company safety measures by wearing specialized goggles, helmets and gloves. Communication skills are essential to work with team members

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Read and interpret project plans, blueprints and other written instructions and diagrams to perform task at hand
• Perform MIG, TIG and other types of weld based on project needs
• Field install welds, including duct work, light fixtures, vents, fans, metal sheeting and other parts
• Select proper fillers for jobs based on previous experience or project instructions
• Coordinate with field labor crew for efficient installations
• Conserve resources whenever possible to ensure budgetary integrity and client satisfaction
• De-bur and grind metal as necessary to achieve proper surface texture
• Write in details for any equipment the time and the cause of stoppage in daily stoppages reports;
• Record details in the production log book.  
• Coordinate with all technician for solving problem at his duty 
• Analyzing technical and operation condition problem and contriput in finding solution to them.

Job Specification

Vocational Training: At a university or institute level. Specialized in a branch of applied science or ’Mechanical Engineering.

Vocational Career: Approximately 10 years experience in a relevant field.

• Knowledge of cement industry best practices and safety procedures
• Attention to accuracy / Precision
• Ability to propose innovative solutions
• Reading plans, digrams & sketshs
• Current and valid certification a plus
• Experience working on construction sites and with power tools
