Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability & Learning Assistant ( Hotline operator) - The Danish Refugee Council (DRC)


This role has a country focus and is envisaged to develop expert communications products and positively position DRCs work in Libya. Overall the role is envisaged to promote DRC’s mission, mandate, work and advocacy strategies in country, working closely with management teams to identify appropriate methods to communicate to relevant parties.

 

Responsibilities: 

Accountability:

• Support the implementation of DRC’s beneficiaries’ feedback and complaints mechanism.
• Support the piloting of accountability tools and activities.
• Support the mainstreaming of Core Humanitarian Standard (CHS) on accountability.
• Support the implementation of participatory and community-based approaches.
• Sensitize beneficiaries, staff and stakeholders on accountability activities of DRC including feedback and complaint mechanism and its guidelines and procedures
• Ensure that programme activities are compliant with DRC accountability framework and principles
• Ensure beneficiaries are treated with respect, confidentiality and informed consent
• Contribute to solving problems and conflicts that might occur during activities and respond to minor complaints coming from beneficiaries

 

Reporting and information:

• Submit weekly and monthly reports to the supervisor on achievements and challenges related to accountability.
• Produce periodic accountability reports to ensure programs have accurate and useful data to inform project development
• Refer on potential vulnerable cases or sensitive issues that might be observed at field level
to supervisor
• Inform supervisor of any safety incident that might take place

 

About you : 

•  Minimum 1 year of experience.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to analyse data and summarize it for a range of different audiences.
• Excellent skill in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Ability to build support from staff across teams and across members, and to build the capacity of others.
• Proven ability to coordinate effective resource allocation to ensure quality programmes.
• Experience of working within budget constraints.
• Experience of qualitative research techniques
• Experience in international development
 We are also expecting: 

• Diploma or equivalent professional qualification
• English language proficiency, French is a plus.
• Fluency in Arabic.

We offer: 
Contract length: 6 months
Designation of Duty Station: Tripoli, Libya.
Suggested start Date: ASAP
