Project Manager for Health-Related Programs (Health Care in Danger) - The International Committee of the Red Cross



The ICRC Delegation in Libya has a vacancy for:
Project Manager for Health-Related Programs (Health Care in Danger)
The position will be based in the Tripoli Sub Delegation
The Project Manager will be based in ICRC Tripoli SD office and will frequently travel to other parts of Libya and Tunisia.
Main Responsibilities:

Implement the strategy, based on a common problem analysis, a common identification of priorities, including a multi-disciplinary response, a plan of action, etc.;
Identify stakeholders (internally and externally) and organize working platform;
Pursue new opportunities and partnerships in line with the strategies and ambitions of the project;
Represent the project towards government stakeholders at regional and national level;
Oversee and guide research projects and identify emerging research needs;
Oversee the design of context-specific dissemination approaches and to represent the project externally;
Ensure a good internal communication to the delegation as a whole with particular stress on key departments such as Communication, Protection and Health;
Lead the design of impact assessment tools and make sure all components of the project are assessed in an evidence-based fashion;
Coordinate annual objectives planning of relevant transversal activities;
Manages the project in line with the ICRC’s priorities and strategies in Libya, and within the institutional framework;
Participates in budget elaboration and monitors its implementation;
Maintain regular contacts with various external interlocutors.

Required background, skills and experience:

Proven capacity to lead and manage transversal projects, establish efficient communication with all stakeholders;
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
Capacity to provide thorough analysis (political and contextual) and subsequent written reports;
Management and training skills;
Fluency in written and spoken English;
Advanced university degree or equivalent;
Minimum 6 years work experience in a similar field.
