Network Engineer - Trans Sahara IT & Communications (TSIC)

Network Engineer– Trans Sahara Company.











Location:




Tripoli.











Reporting to:




Chief Technology Officer.











Working hours:




Sunday – Thursday 09:00 – 16:00.











Annual leave:




30 days / annum.











Starting Date:




1st of December 2019.











Contract:




As per the Libyan law.

As per the Libyan law.











Compensation:




Based on his OKR.





Brief Descripon:
A network operaons engineer will work with design and engineering teams to have an all-round understanding of networks and systems. The professional should be able to resolve complex issues that involve analysing packets and troubleshoong networks. They are the crucial point of contact between the network operaons team and other internal departments. The engineer must work towards improving the quality of technical and telecommunicaon services.
Responsibilities
●Ensure stable and reliable ISP network services (e.g access products and service network)
●Day-to-day network performance monitoring.
●Network troubleshoong and fault analysis; hardware troubleshoong and repair.
●Trouble cket generaon and response; carrier interface and escalaons.
●Deployment and maintenance of network monitoring, analysis and reporng tools.
●Applicaon of configuraon changes via our change control systems and processes.
●Installaon of network hardware and soware.
●Install and configure services to customers.
●Parcipate in a 24*7 call-out rota.
●Provide support to customers via telephone, email and remote control for the range of services and products that soluons provide.
●Diagnose and resolve to key customers.
●Ensure that customers are kept up to date at all mes.
●Answer customer’s quesons.
●Provide pre-sales technical support.
Job Skills & Qualificaons Required:
●Bachelor’s in computer science or a related field plus a minimum of three years’ experience in system administraon
●Experience of working on network equipment in an ISP environment, a large NOC or other such company associated with networking.
●CCNA cerfied or equivalent level of knowledge.
●Interest in leading edge technologies. Keen to develop own skills and knowledge
●Clear communicator (wrien and verbal)
●Capable of priorising and managing own workload.
●Self-mouvated

WORKING HOURS AND PLACE OF WORK
•The Employee shall adhere to the working hours applicable in the Company, and shall devote all the me necessary for the proper performance of assigned dues.
•From the me the Employee takes up the assigned dues in accordance with this Contract, the place of work shall be at Tripoli & Benghazi Libya.
•However, it is agreed that for reasons relang to the organizaon and the efficient operaon of the Company, the Employee may be called upon to change the place of work at the request of the Company.
•The Employee will be informed of any such decision at least one month in advance.
•The Employee may be called upon to travel outside Libya from me to me, in the fulfilment of assigned dues.
•The Employee may be called upon to travel within Libya and abroad for the requirements of the Employee’s work.
