International Medical Corps rehabilitates devastated health care systems and helps bring them back to self-reliance.
 
 
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES/SCOPE OF WORK 
The Community Outreach Team Leader is responsible for facilitating and supervising outreach activities in connection with the urban communities.
Tasks include, but are not limited to, the following:
 

Being the focal point for all the queries related to the outreach activities in the community in connection with the CDCs;

 2 Supervising the outreach team within the CDCs, planning, conducting and supervising the outreach visits within the urban community according to the defined Standard Operating Procedures and the security measures.
 3 Coordinating the community activities including community events, FGDs and awareness sessions with the relevant IMC staff.
 4 Gathering routine data about the conditions, vulnerabilities, the status of persons with special needs, the need of hygiene kits and Non Food Items in the communities.
 5 Supervising and conducting assessments within the community when it’s needed, monitoring, compiling and reporting the data gathered by the outreach officers.
6 Filling existing data collection tools and working on the improvement of the existing ones in collaboration with the M&E Manager.    
7 Designing and reviewing the material for the information and awareness raising sessions targeting the community members and community leaders;
8 Establishing and maintaining networks with UNHCR, NGOs and INGOs’ field staff conducting similar activities and/or covering the same communities.
9 In coordination with the CDC managers, develop or oversee the development, implementation and follow-up of community activities plans in order to successfully meet identified goals.
10 Ensuring a daily update and an immediate report to the CDC Office Managers and Project Manager on the situation of the protection in the urban communities and on developments that have an impact on the protection environment for persons of concern.
11 Keeping the CDC Coordinator and Project Manager up to date and informed about the queries and requests made by IMC staff, officials and other stakeholders involved in the humanitarian field in a timely manner. 
12 Maintains confidentiality and adhere to International Medical Corps regulations. 13 Other duties as assigned. The duties and responsibilities listed are representative of the nature and level of work assigned and are not necessarily all inclusive.
 
 
QUALIFICATIONS:
 University degree in Social Sciences, Project Management or a related field;
 Experience in working with NGOs, INGOs and other relevant organizations is an advantage;
  Experience in Outreach and working in field/Community setup
  Experience with events/training organizing
 Prior experience in functions relating to project implementation and program activities
  Ability to work under pressure with strict deadlines;
  Experience in drafting and compiling papers, briefings, and reports;
  Excellent communication skills, both oral and written,
 Time management, interpersonal and relationship-building skills
  The ability to direct People and deal with a broad spectrum of people,
 Organizational Awareness  Problem-solving and leadership skills.
  Ability to exercise sound judgement and make decisions independently.
 Excellent self-motivation skills.
 Good ability to handle multiple tasks and many administrative details in a fast paced and constantly changing environment.
 
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
 
 Excellent knowledge of English and Arabic
