Driver – Misrata/Sirte - Libya Transition Initiative (LTI) 3

The Libya Transition Initiative 3 is an international development program in Libya. The goal of LTI 3 is to establish and manage a quick-response mechanism supporting activities that provide essential services to the community and reinforce stability to help build an inclusive and peaceful future in Libya.
LTI 3 seeks the following positions to support its program in the Center Region, including Misrata and Sirte. Fluent written and spoken English and Arabic are required for all positions.
 
Driver
The driver will support the LTI 3 project by driving and maintaining project vehicles. The driver will work closely with and report to the Operations Specialist. The driver will provide appropriate and quality work in support of all LTI 3 staff and activities. Some of the duties include: driving assigned project vehicle daily and as requested or pre-approved by Operations Specialist. Trips include on schedule field trips, project-related trips within post and specified cities in the area, and other driving assignments as required. Ensuring the cleanliness of assigned vehicles. Checking assigned vehicle weekly to ensure that it is operational and safe to drive. On a weekly basis, check the oil, radiator, fan belt, brake fluid, wipers, tires, lights and signals. Initiating and supervise any repairs require on assigned vehicles with supervisor’s approval. Fulfilling project reporting requirements and maintain records, including vehicle logs, vehicle routing, and vehicle condition log. Conducting banking tasks, including cash deposits/withdrawals, account inquiries, and documentation requests. Delivering payment to vendors. Collecting commodity quotations, as needed. Assisting with photocopying, scanning, filing and report binding.
Two years of relevant experience is required. A valid Libyan and/or Tunisian driver’s license and good driving record is required. Willingness to travel throughout Libya and/or Tunisia is required. Fluency in Arabic is required, fluency in English is preferred.
