Maintenance Control & Technical Training Centre (MCTTC) Manager       - Al Sahl Group

Job Objectives:
The manager of the center supervises and follows up all the work related to the management of maintenance of production lines, equipment and auxiliry  equipment (desalination and central pumping stations and power stations, compressors and generators, etc.) at all factories and companies of the group. In addition, provides guidance and technical support necessary for all maintenance departments in the group as well as introducing proposals for evaluating and developing the performance of the center in order to ensure the achievement of the group’s strategic objectives.
Work site: MCTTC
Nature of work:  Office & On-site (if any)
Required Qualification:
Master or Bachelor of Engineering or equivalent (Preferred in Mechanical/Electro-Mechanical/Automatic Control Engineering or Engineering management)
Work Experience:
At least 10 years’ experience in technical maintenance

Required Knowledge:

– Quality systems
 
Languages required:
Proficiency in Arabic and English

Internal Relation :

Coordinating with the other managers of the departments and sectors in the group regarding all subjects related to the activities of the center.
Coordinating with the maintenance departments in the various sectors of the group regarding the delivery of maintenance services, spare parts and technical equipment

 
Exteternal Relation :

Communicate with all external parties related to the center’s activity.
Representing the center in all official events with the authorization of the group’s General Manager

 
Stratigic Tasks :

Supervising the development of monthly and annual preventive maintenance plans for all business sectors in the group and programs related to the development of maintenance services and technical training in the center within the strategies, policies and objectives.
Contribute to the development of plans and programs related to the development of the performance of the business support sector and participate in its implementation through coordination with the managers of departments in the sector.
Supervising the development of MCTTC’s operational plans in cooperation with the heads of departments and follow-up in a manner that achieves the achievement of the objectives of the center.
Overseeing local and external procurement plans related to the delivery of spare parts and maintenance equipment needs of the group companies according to the technical specifications and quantities specified with the required quality at the lowest prices.

Technical and Operational Tasks :
 

Identifying the requirements of spare parts and technical equipment for maintenance departments in the group. In addition, lists all necessary requirements for the operation of the center in coordination with the procurement and finance departments.
Follow up the technical performance of the group’s maintenance departments and set standards to measure their performance and productivity.
Supervise all technical training programs in the center and consider the possibility of developing them in cooperation with the head of the training department.
Preparation and review of the policy of the implementation of the quality system within MCTTC in coordination with Quality Assurance Office
Providing technical support, advice and guidance to all maintenance departments in the group’s business sectors as well as to the heads of center’s departments.

 
Managerial Tasks :

Meeting with head of departments to follow up all daily tasks and discuss the developments and take appropriate actions
Prepare monthly and annual reports on the activities and achievements of the centre for top management
Oversee the development of existing and new employees, identify training needs and evaluate training results.
Nominate the employees to be hired according to the approved centre’s recruitment plan
Implementing procedures and work programs within the factory maintenance support division in addition to facilitating the workflow mechanism and increasing the efficiency of the division performance.
Prepare an annual evaluation of the departments according to the approved performance appraisal system
Attend the meetings of the directors of sectors in the group and formulate and codify the recommendations and decisions issued regarding the centre and develop the appropriate plans for their implementation.
Identify the duties and tasks assigned to each department and ensure the efficiency of the implementation of the tasks required and measure the extent of compliance with the approved procedures
Appointing a deputy in case of absence, if necessary
Carrying out any other duties or responsibilities at the request of the General Manager or his deputy or the Director of the Support Service Sector
