The ICRC Delegation in Libya has a vacancy for  
Field Officer based in the Tripoli Sub-Delegation Office
Main Responsibilities:

Assists the head of the ICRC Tripoli structure in the analysis of the overall context and dynamics within the area of responsibility and the wider national and regional landscape including via regular written and oral reporting
Actively leads and participates in field trips to identify humanitarian needs, enhance a multi-disciplinary approach and ensure synergies in the ICRC’s humanitarian response
Is assigned to and develops an expertise in a specific geographical area and/or thematic files
Conducts dissemination/information sessions on the ICRC mandate and activities to different audiences and interlocutors
Interacts with key stakeholders/authorities/civil society other humanitarian actors relevant to ICRC humanitarian action and security considerations
Provides translation/interpretation support to the head of structure and visiting ICRC delegates in high level meetings

 
Required background, skills and experience:

University degree preferably in social/political science/economics
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in positions with public outreach or similar fields
Excellent knowledge of the overall dynamics of Tripoli and the western region of Libya
Advanced analytical skills
Advanced knowledge of written and oral English and advanced reporting skills (written reports)
Advanced computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Former work with a humanitarian organisation or NGO/INGO an asset
