Media and Communications Project Manager - Aman Communications & Media

Main Purpose of the Job:
The aim of this job is to project manage the delivery of media and communications for clients in Libya.
Main duties and responsibilities:
The jobholder will be working closely with the General Manager of Aman along with lead managers from partner international companies. This role involves project management, partner liaison, and administrative support to deliver a full media and communications function.
Key tasks in this role are:
• Manage a team of 15-20 reports in order to implement Media Relations strategy, policy, standards, guidelines, tools and processes for clients retained by Aman.
• Liaise with partner companies working for principle clients to deliver effective communications and media management.
• Relationship management of local, regional and global media stakeholders and is accountable for all communication with media as part of 24/7 digital newsroom.
• Conceive, develop and execute compelling media content for clients according to communications strategy and based on an in depth understanding of clients’ strategy and priorities.
• Develop local media content, in line with clients’ strategy priorities that builds a positive, differentiated reputation for clients.
• Provide advice and administrative support to the General Manager, partner managers on media strategy.
• Clearance of content for possible publication on social and mainstream media.
• Social media management especially for Facebook and Twitter.
• Support in the provision of media training, including providing media advice to senior leaders (i.e. conducting interviews).
Required Experience Qualification:
• Relevant degree or extensive relevant work experience with a media outlet and/or a large multinational organization.
• Substantial experience working in a corporate communications and/or media within a complex organization in either the public or private sectors. This experience should include extensive frontline experience dealing with media inquiries on prominent and complex issues.
• Delivery of project activities within high program management standards.
• Able to negotiate and reconcile different stakeholder objectives.
• Flexible, organised, and able to effectively engage with senior stakeholders and partner project managers.
• Excellent people skills and a strong ability to deliver project objectives through others.
Essential qualifications, skills and experience
• Fluency in English, and Arabic both written and spoken.
• Project management experience.
