The ICRC Delegation in Libya has a vacancy for:
Medical Logistics Assistant
The position will be based in Benghazi
Function description:
Provides logistics support to Medical Operations in Benghazi (BEH), in terms of warehousing, dispatching, as per Medical Logistics Standards
Follow up Customer Service Desk (CSD) function for Health Requests submitted by BEH and Sabha (SAB)
Follows-up any quality problems with the Medical Logistician.
Ensures, if necessary, all administrative filing of his unit (field procurement files, purchase orders files, suppliers files, products files)
Performs medical data collection, entry, analysis and reporting in collaboration with the Medical Logistician
Travel between BEH and SAB, when needed, to ensure the implementation of the Medlog Good Practices and/or to cover the absence of the Logistics Staff members
Professional Experience required:
Minimum 2-3 years’ work experience in Logistics, pharmacy management, drug stores, Inventory Control, Enterprise Recourses Planning (ERP) or Warehouse Management.
Ability to work independently and to take initiative
Proven planning and organizing skills.
Excellent command of written and spoken English and Arabic
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with proven ability to adapt and interact constructively
Excellent computer skills
Strong sense of responsibility and adaptability
Academic Qualification in Logistics, statistics, or medical sciences are an assit
Service oriented and flexible.
Capacity to handle sensitive information with strict confidentiality and ethics
Genuine interest in humanitarian activities (especially ICRC’s), previous experience in humanitarian environment an asset
