RIG Energy is assisting an oilfield services contractor in recruiting a number of AUTOMATION CONTROL SYSTEM SPECIALISTS II to work on an Operations & Maintenance project located some 110 km off the Libyan coast.

Job Description


Perform routine preventive maintenance, dismantle and reassemble equipment for corrective maintenance or for replacement in whole or in part
May work with other personnel to facilitate the repair and replacement of components, operate, testing and calibrating equipment
Install, maintain, repair and perform other servicing routines required to assure continuous system operations; troubleshoot and configure (SW+HW) equipment and systems, such as SCADA, ESD, F&G, HMI (graphic display), networking and distributed control systems DCS
Act as liaison with vendors concerning replacement parts and system operation, modification and upgrading
Maintain logs of work performed against daily, weekly and monthly assignment sheets and complete record of supplies and parts received and/or issued for job assignments; ESD, F&G, ICS triplex (Rockwell Automation) Tenore Graphic HMI: ABB, SCADA: Transmission (Siemens), DCS: ABB Baily INFI90
Perform functional tests, routine, condition monitoring & preventive control systems configuration, logics implementation and maintenance activities related to I&C for major petrochemical, power station and Oil & Gas plants and installations.
Provide technical support to ensure the smooth and safe operations of the production and utilities plants including reviews of all contractors supplied engineering documentation, drawings, data and manuals logics implementation and functional tests for the DCS, ESD, F&G, industrial networking and PLC systems, commissioning and maintenance activities, as well.


Requirements


University degree or higher national Diploma in Electronics or, Instrumentation, or Automation control, or Diploma in Computerized control system
Around 15 years of experience, with the last 3-5 years as a Senior IAS (Automation Engineer), in the field of instrumentation and automation in the Oil & Gas Industries or power plants
Proven hands on experience in ICS Rockwell Automation – ESD, F&G systems
Able to perform basic design for engineering modifications including documents and drawings
Able to coordinate with other disciplines, Divisions, Maintenance, Quality Assurance, Drawing Office and Engineering Records, Operations, to ensure that all Technical, Operational and Safety Requirements are met
Ability to direct and supervise a team of technicians and has the spirit of teamwork and very well familiar with industrial plants HSE requirements
Ability to customize and configure hardware & software smart devices and associated packages – DCS system
Good interpersonal and organizational skills
Good level of computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Office
Excellent communication and presentation skills in both written and verbal English
Valid BOSIET, H2S Training and Offshore Medical certificates
