The ICRC Delegation in Libya has a vacancy for:
The position will be based in the Tripoli Sub Delegation
Under the supervision of the Finance responsible, he/she is in charge of preparing, reconciling and analysing the accounting records and financial reports of the delegation, processes financial data on computer and provides end of month closing and reports mainly independently, takes part in cash flow management, participates to the budget preparation and ensures respect of financial procedures and guidelines
Handles the bookkeeping of Tripoli Sub-Delegation
Controls and processes financial data on the ICRC bookkeeping accounting software (OSCAR) such as preparation of vouchers, statistics, bank reconciliations, cash reconciliation, correction vouchers, monthly closing, etc.. in accordance with the ICRC financial regulations
Ensures accuracy and completeness of the accounting transactions
Performs regular integrity checks
Ensures proper filing of relevant documents for future reference, including audit
Applies the ICRC chart of accounts when entering expenditures, incomes, transfers, balance sheet account; etc.
Helps ensure that operations run smoothly through efficient cash-flow management, covering the fund needs of the delegation
Together with the cashier, establishes appropriate opening hours of the cash office and ensures sufficient cash supply for the running of daily operations
Receives from the cashier the Daily Cash Position Report and supporting documents then checks the accuracy and completeness of the documents
On daily basis, enters all cash transactions into the accounting software application, print and signs vouchers, daily control and cash statement
Replace cashier during absences
Manages the list of balance sheet account and prepare quarterly confirmation to FAD_REV and communicate with Logistic department for VAT matters
Performs initial review of all entries, make quality checks, and do necessary corrections promptly
Prepares all the necessary accounting closing documents on monthly bases
Make sure dispatched of closing documents on time on monthly bases
Actively participate to the budget preparation
Summarize and controls the monthly time report by using Time Report data base
Required background, skills and experience:
3-5 years’ work experience in a similar field
Experience of international organizations an asset
Sound knowledge of accounting software.
Good command of English
Good computer skills
Rigorous and trustful person
