MEAL Officer - International Medical Corps


 

 

Position Title: MEAL Officer.

Number of Positions: 1.

Field Site: Tripoli.

Position Reports to MEAL Manager.

Deadline: 07th July 2022

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist the MEAL Manager in the implementation of the project Monitoring and Evaluation Plan;
  • Maintain existing indicator tracking tools, including IPTT.
  • Develop additional databases and tracking tools as needed to demonstrate the effectiveness of project interventions;
  • Conduct training’s Pre-post test distribution and results in verifications and analysis;
  • Review, clean, and analyze all project data, including but not limited to: health facilities data and training data;
  • Analyze data for accuracy, flag validation or quality issues, and contribute to fixes;
  • Produce monthly factsheets and dashboards on project progress;
  • Capture and document lessons learned and champion the scaling up best practices;
  • Create and integrate graphics in reports and information products to help visualize data in a meaningful way;
  • Conduct field visits for data validation and to monitor the quality and completeness of data sets;
  • Capture and document lessons learned and scale up best practices;
  • Contribute to developing and reporting of project reviews, assessments, surveys, and other analytic or evaluation processes and products;
  • Engage in learning sessions to build internal capacity on the utilization of MEAL tools and the application of MEAL approaches;
  • Support MEAL manager in data validation and data quality assessments regularly;
  • Any other duty deemed necessary for meeting MEAL objectives as discussed with the supervisor.

 

QUALIFICATIONS :

  • A University degree in a related field is required. A high school diploma with relevant experience might be considered;
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in working with NGOs, INGOs, and other relevant organizations;
  • Minimum of 1-year experience in dealing with data, including data collection, verification, management, and analysis;
  • Knowledge of the primary evaluation methodologies (qualitative, quantitative, mixed-method, and impact) and data collection and analysis methodologies;
  • Ability to synthesize complex information and communicate it effectively to diverse audiences;
  • Proven success in designing, implementing, and operating M&E systems from project initiation to close out is preferred;
  • Excellent computer skills, including experience with Excel, Word, and PowerPoint;
  • Experience working with migrants and Internally Displaced Persons with different backgrounds is preferred;
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written;
  • Excellent knowledge of English and Arabic languages;
  • Good organizational skills and excellent self-motivation skills;
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and many administrative details in a fast-paced and constantly changing environment.

 

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

  • English and Arabic.

 

OTHER COMMENTS:

Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse Actively promote PSEA (Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse) standards within International Medical Corps and amongst

beneficiaries served by International Medical Corps.

Any other duties that may be assigned from time by supervisors.
