Marketing and Administrative Assistant (TOBACCO) - Salvo Grima


Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and organised individual to join our team as a Marketing and Administration Representative. The job covers the promotion of specific TOBACCO products by improving their visibility, market share, promotions, and other pertinent strategies.

This position requires a combination of marketing, administrative, and organisational skills to support our team in achieving the company’s business goals. The Marketing & Administrative Representative role is to handle the day-to-day administration of the office, and manage and coordinate the marketing activities of Salvo Grima in Libya. The candidate will also be responsible for running and maintaining the Group’s social media pages and website.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Undertake daily administrative tasks to ensure the functionality and coordination of the department’s activities.
  • Develop and execute marketing strategies, including social media and email campaigns.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure a consistent brand portrayal – both at product and Group level.
  • Conduct market research and analyse data to take informed marketing decisions.
  • Using marketing analytics techniques (social media, web analytics, rankings etc.).
  • Maintain and update the company’s website and social media accounts.
  • Assist with the planning and coordination of events and promotions.
  • Update spreadsheets, databases, and inventories with statistical information.
  • Communicate directly with suppliers and encourage trusting relationships.
  • Provide administrative support, including managing emails, scheduling appointments, and organising files.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Advanced marketing and promotional principles.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office marketing computer software and online applications (CRM tools, Online analytics, Google AdWords etc.).
  • Proficiency with most social media websites.
  • Ability to establish effective working relationships with colleagues and customers.
  • Ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
  • Professional appearance and demeanour.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong time management and organisational skills.
  • Detail-oriented approach.
  • Entrepreneurial attitude and ability to think outside the box with a desire to grow and learn.
  • A good grasp of the English language is required.
  • High School diploma; BSc in Marketing, Business or relevant field is a strong advantage.
